Chelsea are now the likeliest team to sign Sporting Lisbon wingback Pedro Porro, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan publication report that the Blues are the “closest” to recruiting the former Manchester City player, who has also been attracting interest from Tottenham.
Supporters on Twitter are keen for the club to recruit a potential alternative for the injured Reece James and most are backing a bid for Porro:
I hope this is true

It is believed that Sporting have told potential suitors to pay the Spanish international’s β¬45m (Β£40m) release clause and it remains to be seen whether the Blues will decide to trigger it.
Porro does seem like a very good fit for Chelsea. He has played all of this season at right wingback, having scored two goals and contributed 10 assists in 22 appearances. If he can bring that sort of form with him to Stamford Bridge, he could actually give James a run for his money as a first-team regular.
