“I Disagree” Gary Neville Hits Back At Paul Scholes Over Chelsea’s Title Credentials

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville says he disagrees with his former Manchester United teammate Paul Scholes about Chelsea’s chances of finishing top of the table this season.

Scholes said that he watched the Liverpool vs Manchester City game before the international break and he firmly believes that one of those two teams will lift the Premier League title.

However, Neville thinks the performances of Chelsea under manager Thomas Tuchel should be taken into account, and he expects them to be in contention:

“The performance levels, if you watch all the top teams, City, Liverpool, Chelsea. I disagree with Scholesy, I do think Chelsea will challenge for the title.”

While the home defeat to City last month did leave some pundits questioning the Blues’ title credentials, they remain top of the pile after seven games played. Tuchel’s men have a pretty decent run of league fixtures coming up before the November international break as well.

After travelling to Brentford tomorrow night, they have a home match against Norwich City, before games against fellow strugglers Newcastle United and Burnley,
