Chelsea are considering whether to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on a free transfer, according to reports.
The 24-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, but supporters on Twitter are very much split on whether he would be a good addition to the squad:
I can get behind that

No we don't want him

That doesn’t mean he’s good

I'll take him everyday of the week, his loss of form is usually temporal, but when he's on it, he's Ronaldo-esque kind of a player

It has already started, we are becoming United 2.0

There is an option to extend his contract for another year which they are likely to do soon. 🤝

As one fan points out, United do have an option to extend Rashford’s stay at Old Trafford for another season so it’s very unlikely that he will be leaving on a free next summer.
Even if he were available, though, the Blues should think twice before considering a move for the England international. Although he has started the campaign strongly, it wasn’t long ago that he was struggling for form.
Rashford scored just five goals in the whole of last season, and he was dropped from the international setup as a result. If he does perform well in the coming months and goes to the World Cup, though, you can bet that United will trigger their option to extend his contract anyway. It’s probably not worth giving this story a second thought.
