There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future over the past week, with the likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus reportedly keen on signing the 20-year-old.
The England international has struggled for minutes under manager Frank Lampard in recent months and the Blues boss has told the player that he needs to work harder in training to be in contention for starting games:
“With Callum, he has to absolutely focus on the work he puts in on the training ground day in, day out. I’ve said it quite a few times. I have to think about how players trained, how they play within the team, how we work on the ball and how we work off the ball.”
With Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech both sidelined with injury, and Mason Mount likely to move centrally if Ruben Loftus-Cheek is dropped, there will be a space to fill on the left-flank for the game against Liverpool. Fans are backing Hudson-Odoi to be given the nod this evening:

It could be very telling either way as to whether Lampard decides to start Hudson-Odoi in terms of the player’s future. Will the manager back the winger to start in a big game? We won’t have to wait long to find out.
