Highly-Rated Chelsea Youngster Being Targeted By Several Premier League Clubs – Including Manchester City And Liverpool

Chelsea starlet Levi Colwill, who is currently on loan at Brighton, is currently on the radar of several Premier League clubs (via TalkSPORT).

According to TalkSPORT, Colwill has been monitored by Manchester City and Liverpool for a considerable amount of time – now, Tottenham Hotspur have also joined the race to sign the 20-year-old.

Chelsea are keen to offload some of their players in the summer, to help them comply with Financial Fair Play rules – Colwill could be one of several players who end up being sold.

Due to injuries and the strong form of those ahead of him in the pecking order at the Falmer Stadium, Colwill’s playing time has been somewhat limited this season. In total, he has played in just ten Premier League games so far.

A centre-back by trade, he can also function as a left-back if needed. He is a technically gifted defender, who specialises in bringing the ball out of defence and laying off passes to his more creative teammates.

However, Chelsea should be wary when letting go of such promising young talents. It has come back to bite them in the past – former academy players such as Fikayo Tomori, Declan Rice and Nathan Ake have all forged fantastic careers for themselves – but not at Chelsea. Could Colwill be just the next name in a long line of regrets for the Blues?
