Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount did not take a full part in training for England yesterday ahead of this evening’s World Cup qualifier against Poland.
Manager Gareth Southgate has said that the 22-year-old didn’t warm up with the rest of the team but he was involved in the rest of the session, stating he should be “fine” to play at Wembley tonight.
Supporters on Twitter are not particularly happy that Mount may play against Poland even if he isn’t 100% fit for the game:
He’s gonna play him I just know it

He's played in both games so far….presumably he has a minor injury. Just leave him out for God's sake!!!

He should not play at all against Poland or at least come off the bench. We need him fully fit for our upcoming tough games. ?

Can he just send him back to Cobham already? We've lost CHO already; can't lose Mase too.

Southgate is, of course, well within his rights to play the midfielder but it’s unlikely that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will appreciate him risking one of his key players.
The Blues take on West Brom in the Saturday lunchtime kickoff so it will be a very short turnaround for Mount, if he does feature against Poland. It’s almost certain that he’ll only make the bench if he is fit this weekend.
