Brighton winger Leandro Trossard has expressed an interest in linking up with his former manager Graham Potter at Chelsea.
While the Belgian international did say that he would be keen on making the switch to Stamford Bridge, he emphasised that a move would be dependent on him being guaranteed first-team football:
“Our coach did leave for Chelsea now but speculation about me following him makes no sense. If the opportunity arises, I want to go. But I want to play and not sit on the bench.”
Fans on Twitter are very much behind making an approach for Trossard. While there are those who feel he doesn’t possess the quality to improve the squad, most believe he could compete for a place in the starting lineup:
Heard he's a Hazard regen, get him in.

We don’t really need him in all honesty. It would be a luxury signing at best

If GT wants him and he thinks he is the solution than why not. End of the day it’s GT project and he wants his best players.

Trossard does know Potter’s system very well, and his ability to play in a number of positions would make him a useful squad player. During his time at the Seagulls, he has been deployed as a winger, wingback and a number nine
It remains to be seen, though, whether Potter would be interested in signing the 27-year-old, considering he does already have plenty of options in wide areas.
