Chelsea have rejected bids from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for Willian, according to reports in the English media.
Both offers were said to be around the £35m mark, but it is believed the Blues are determined to tie down the Brazilian to a new deal.
Supporters on Twitter understand why the bids were rejected, due to the club’s transfer ban, but they wish he had been sold earlier:
He ain’t ever leaving.

Should have sold him last summer and invested in a young winger like pepe.

Willian gets to much stick. Does need to contribute more tho

Id rather be left with no wingers if it meant selling Willian he offers nothing. An attacking forward who barely makes double figures if at all for goals in all comps is not worth having

Willian will retire in Chelsea. After all he’s not a ? neither does he have dreams of playing elsewhere

If we didn’t have the ban I’m sure we would sell!

Last summer was the best opportunity when we were getting 60 m for him. Now we can’t sell because of the ban.

But you’ve got to realise that if we lose him, we can’t replace him and are stuck with 3 wingers

Willian has to go
He’s so done for— Nelson Adewale (@Iamwizzyripper) 17 June 2019
Id sell if we can get 45-50. He could be the player to step up to fill some of Hazards boots but if not we will have to promote someone else. got to be positive

Willian currently has just 12 months left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, and reports suggest that Chelsea and the player are quite far apart in terms of an agreement.
The Blues are looking to extend the 30-year-old’s contract by an extra year, but the winger is said to be demanding a longer-term deal.
If talks do stall, there is still a possibility that Willian could be sold this summer, despite the transfer ban, with the fear that he could leave for nothing next year.
