Hazard Unhappy With Chelsea’s Defensive Playing Style

Tensions are high within the club after Chelsea missed out on all the trophies of this season. The Blues failed to defeat Atletico which might have been expected considering the fact that Mourinho started the game with 5 defenders. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea’s loss against the Spanish side had a great impact on the club’s well-being. One of Chelsea’s most efficient and promising players expressed his disappointment with the fact that his team was instructed to hold on to their early goal. Apparently, Hazard is not too fond of the fact that Mourinho has built a team focused on counter attacks. The Belgian international does not consider the Blues’ current tactics very successful.

Hazard was clearly frustrated with the fact that his team has lost both the Champions League and the Premier League trophies after a very nice run throughout the season. Unfortunately as the man who has scored the most goals for Chelsea, he might be right to comment on Mourinho’s tactics which could have worked with Inter but failed to deliver any results for the Blues.

Despite being a great motivator, Mourinho failed to push his players onto the final. Hazard who has been recently linked to PSG admitted to the fact that Chelsea are in desperate need of a striker. Despite having three options, none are capable of rising to Diego Costa’s level who hopefully will make it to Stamford Bridge this summer as we desperately need a 25+ goals a season striker. Imagine where we would be this season if we had a striker who was a 25+ goal a season man.
