Hazard Reveals How Chelsea’s Players Made Their Feelings Known To Kepa

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has confirmed that the squad did confront Kepa Arrizabalaga about his actions during the Carabao Cup final.

The Belgian said all the players and staff made their feelings known to the Spaniard following the match but hopes that the keeper will learn from his mistake:

“It’s a fact of play in a final. We explained ourselves, explained to him with the club, with the players, with the coach, with Willy Caballero too. He knows very well that he made a mistake and, here we are, we will get over that. He has the potential to become one of the best in the world.”

Whether Kepa will learn any lessons from the controversy, we shall have to wait and see. The 24-year-old was dropped from the starting lineup when the Blues faced Tottenham on Wednesday.

Manager Maurizio Sarri said the £72m summer signing will be reinstated to the side in the near future although he would not give any guarantees he would face Fulham on Sunday.

Willy Caballero has come out to plead with Chelsea fans to forgive Kepa’s actions, with the Argentinian veteran keen for everyone to move on from the incident.

The 37-year-old performed well against Spurs, and Sarri may opt to keep faith with him this weekend.
