Hazard Reveals He Could Finish His Career At Chelsea

Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard hasn’t ruled out finishing his career at Chelsea.

The 27-year-old has previously spoken about being torn between staying with the Blues and moving to Real Madrid, but in a recent interview, the Belgian superstar gave fans some hope that he’ll remain at the club for the long term:

“I can finish with Chelsea. No problem at all. I am very happy with this club, with the team, my family is happy here.”

“So If I don’t go to Spain, it is not a problem. I love the fans – I think the fans love me! What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that’s it.”

Hazard’s current contract expires in 2020, and while he has ruled out leaving in the January transfer window, a move to the Bernabeu in the summer could be on the cards if he doesn’t sign a new deal.

It is believed that Chelsea will look to open contract talks with the Belgian international before Christmas. The Blues are hoping the fact that he is enjoying life under manager Maurizio Sarri will work in their favour.

Hazard has been in sensational form at the start of this campaign. He is currently the Premier League’s top goalscorer, while he has scored eight times and provided three assists in all competitions.

The midfielder is currently earning £220,000 a week and Chelsea may offer in excess of £300,000 a week to persuade the player into staying at Stamford Bridge.
