Hazard Puts PSG Transfer Rumors To Rest

After Chelsea agreed to let David Luiz leave for Paris, and after Hazard constantly insisted there is no chance of him joining PSG, things seem to have calmed down. The Blues’ most prolific player of the season who had a public dispute with Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho insisted right from the start that he will not be leaving Stamford Bridge. According to Metro, the whole thing started just before Chelsea faced PSG in the Champions League clash which took place this April. Oscar was also apparently on PSG’s list but was not as high up on the transfer priorities as the Belgian.

Hazard was praised by PSG manager, Laurent Blanc who expressed his fondness regarding the way the young midfielder performs. Blanc also seemed a bit reserved regarding questions about a possible swap between his team and Chelsea who are looking to sign Lavezzi. Hazard, who was named by Chelsea as their best player of the season, made 51 appearances and scored 17 goals, thus becoming the team’s top scorer. When asked about PSG transfer rumors, the young Belgian international told the press he is not bothered or interested in such news and that his focus is now directed towards the World Cup where Belgium are expected to make quite the impression.

The only possible scenario in which Hazard could leave is if Chelsea don’t manage to balance their budget in order to fit FIFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. Even so, selling Luiz might be enough to bring in Diego Costa.
