Hazard nominated for Premier League Player of the Month

Eden Hazard has been nominated as the Premier League Player of the Month for September.

The Belgian scored five times in four league games, including a hat-trick against Cardiff and two important strikes in the win over Bournemouth and most recent draw with Liverpool.

Hazard’s displays last month earned him plenty of plaudits from his current as his team-mates, with both Chelsea legend John Terry and current Blue Ross Barkley describing him as the “the best player in the world at the minute”.

Hazard was on the award only once before, back in October 2016.

And this time, the 27-year-old goes up against Willy Boly, Alexandre Lacazette, James Maddison, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Raheem Sterling for the award, with the winner to be announced next Friday 12 October.
