Hazard Knows That Retaining The Title Is A Whole New Challenge As Rivals Are Out To Get The Blues

It is not the greatest of seasons so far for Chelsea who have already lost two games, one of which was against a title rival. All this seems to be linked together and all seems to have started over the summer. The Blues booked a lot of pre-season promotional games and had little time to actually rest and recover. The biggest issues seem to come from last year’s top players who this August have been performing well below their high standards. Hazard is the name mentioned most when it comes to Chelsea’s lack of form especially after being praised by Mourinho week after week last season.

The Belgian is in a slump and has even been criticized by Belgium’s manager who added Hazard right next to Benteke on a list of last game’s biggest disappointments.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea’s winger knows why the Blues are having a hard time keeping it together. “It’s difficult to play as a champion because everyone wants to beat you, everyone wants to kill you” the youngster said in one of his most recent interviews. He also stated that “We wear the gold badge and… yeah, it’s very good. We had a fantastic season last season… if we could do the same this season we’d be good” which sounded a lot less convincing than how he probably intended it to be. Hopefully for the Blues, Hazard will get his form back and will inspire Matic, Costa, Fabregas and Azpilicueta to do the same as the whole team is somewhat struggling right now but you still have to back the Special One to get the Blues firing on all cylinders again very soon and to be dealing with the title challenge coming from Man Utd, Man City and maybe even Arsenal too.
