Hazard Is An Injury Doubt For Chelsea Ahead Of Europa League Encounter

Chelsea star Eden Hazard could be a doubt for the Blues’ Europa League clash against BATE Borisov this week, according to reports.

The Belgian international is reportedly suffering from a back injury which could keep him out of the game on Thursday evening.

Hazard was the subject of a number of tough tackles in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United at the weekend but, despite picking up a knock, he was kept on for the full 90 minutes.

The 27-year-old could very well be rested for the match against BATE as manager Maurizio Sarri has not started the midfielder in either of the first two group matches.

However, Chelsea fans will be hoping that Hazard is at least back in contention for the Premier League visit to Burnley next Sunday, considering the player’s sensational form this campaign.

The Belgian playmaker has eight goals and three assists in just 11 games so far this season.
