Hazard Gives His Response To The Latest Real Madrid Transfer Rumours

Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard says he doesn’t know where he will be playing his football next season.

Whilst on international duty with Belgium, the 28-year-old was asked about reports linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid.

The return of Zinedine Zidane as manager of the La Liga side in recent days has only intensified the speculation surrounding Hazard.

However, the Belgian star said he isn’t sure what the future holds and that he is only focused on finishing the campaign with Chelsea:

“At the moment there’s nobody waiting for me. We still have two important months with Chelsea. We can win the Europa League. We have to win the Europa League or we have to finish in the top four to play in the Champions League.”

‘I am only thinking about that, not about what might happen in two, three, four months. I don’t know. We will see.”

The answer seems to suggest that Real have yet to contact the club or his agent about their interest in the playmaker.

Reports have circulated that the Spanish club have already opened the bidding with a £70m offer for Hazard; an amount that was summarily rejected by the Blues.

The London club are apparently holding out for a fee in excess of £100m despite the Belgian international only having just over a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
