Hazard Gives Hint Regarding Drogba Replacement

There have been a lot or rumors saying that Messi is the one who chose Suarez and Neymar as attacking partners. It is a rare thing to have such power within a club especially as a player. To be fair, it does not really matter who made the decision, the important thing is it worked out. Chelsea are now in a similar situation according to Sky Sports who just suggested that Eden Hazard is lobbying for his fellow compatriot Christian Benteke to sign for the Blues. Apparently the two have a great relationship which would most likely benefit the club.

Rumors regarding the Belgium International have already been linking him to Chelsea even before Hazard told the press he would be very happy to work with the 24 year old powerhouse. Benteke is still under contract with Aston Villa until 2017. He has an excellent scoring rate of almost 1 goal every two matches and looks like an excellent fit for the Blues who already have a clinical striker and a quick counter-attack forward. They could definitely use a tall, strong goal scorer like Benteke to handle difficult defensive lines and push through during the end of matches when corners and free kicks are a lot more successful with someone like the Belgian.

The big question is if Hazard is really that influential when it comes to what Mourinho thinks. Seen as the team’s future leader, the winger might just get the same treatment Messi gets in Barcelona, as he is already seen as the next player to compete with the Argentinian and with Ronaldo for the title of the world’s best footballer.
