Chelsea forward Timo Werner missed yet another gilt-edged chance against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg last night.
Manager Thomas Tuchel could not hide his frustration when he was asked about the miss following yesterday’s 1-1 draw, suggesting Werner’s form is a cause of concern:
“He missed a big one at West Ham and now he’s missed a big one here, that does not help. But it doesn’t help crying about it or regretting it all the time.”
Over the past couple of weeks, ChelseaNews.com has been asking supporters whether Werner needs to be replaced. Erling Haaland is thought to be a prime target as the Blues look for a new number nine and 66% of fans believe signing the Norwegian would be the best solution.

It will be a challenge to secure Haaland’s services, considering his £130m price tag and the fact that the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on snapping up the 20-year-old. However, his superb finishing ability may well be the missing piece in the puzzle for Chelsea.
