Ex-Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has rejected an approach from Chelsea to replace Graham Potter, according to reports in the English media.
Most reliable sources have claimed that co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Egbahli are keeping faith with Potter but it has now been suggested that an offer was knocked back by Pochettino last week. Fans on Twitter have had a mixed reaction to the story, with some happy that Pochettino has turned down the job, while others have questioned the reliability of the report:
Good he is a natural born loser

There’s no way he will reject us. He wanted the job soo bad before Chelsea appointed potter.

Pochettino is a perennial Looser! Chelsea shouldn't even consider him

It's probably fake news. The owners are backing Potter until the end of the season.

Potter’s future was always going to come under scrutiny following a very disappointing run of results. Of course, a team needs time to gel after so many signings have been brought in, but there are questions marks over whether Potter has the experience to get them all singing from the same hymnsheet.
If Pochettino has rejected advances from the Blues, it would be a surprise, considering his preference is to work in England, and we shall see if additional information emerges in the coming days.
