Giroud And Mount To Start, Batshuayi And Kante Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Spurs

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has a number of injury problems heading into an important London derby against Tottenham tomorrow lunchtime.

Andreas Christensen should be available to play despite a broken nose so the Dane will likely line up alongside Antonio Rudiger in the centre of defence. Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta are expected to continue as the fullbacks.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante is out of contention with a thigh injury so Mason Mount is likely to come back into the starting line up, after starting the defeat to United on the bench.

Christian Pulisic (groin) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (hamstring) are still not ready to feature so the old guard of Pedro and Willian are expected to take their places on the wings once again.

The main debate, though, will be upfront. Tammy Abraham has still not recovered fully from his ankle problem so Lampard will probably have to decide between Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud. With the Frenchman impressing after coming on against United, he may get the nod tomorrow.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Tottenham:

Caballero, James, Christensen, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Willian, Giroud, Pedro
