Monaco have opened talks with Chelsea over signing Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan, according to reports in the French media. The midfielder was not selected in the matchday squad for the defeat against Manchester United.
The Blues signed the Frenchman from Monaco two years ago for £40m but he struggled to settle in England, and he was loaned out to AC Milan last season. It now appears a second loan move for the 24-year-old is on cards.
Fans on Twitter believe it is the right move to let Bakayoko leave, but most were hoping for a permanent sale:

Bakayoko has made just 43 appearances for Chelsea since his arrival at the club. While he featured prominently under Antonio Conte, neither Maurizio Sarri nor current manager Frank Lampard were fans of the midfielder.
It appears that a return to his former club would suit all parties. The French transfer window closes on September 2nd.
