Former Chelsea managers Frank Lampard and Rafa Benitez have been linked to a job with Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves are currently bottom of the league, mustering just one point in their opening four games which has put manager Gary O’Neil under significant pressure.
Chelsea were able to dismantle them when the two sides met in the second week of the season with Enzo Maresca’s side winning 6-2 at Molineux.
With that in mind, speculation has arisen over who could take the job if O’Neil departs and both Benitez and Lampard have emerged as possible favourites.
According to Gambling.com, Benitez is backed at 7/2 for the job and Lampard is a bit more of a long shot at 14/1. Benitez would seem a great fit as he has vast experience and success in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Lampard would continue the Wolves’ recent theme of a young manager with potential to shine.
