France Legend Believes Falcao Should Move To England

Falcao was hot property last summer when he was being chased by a host of top European clubs but, somewhat surprisingly, he chose to join the French league with Monaco, who had just been promoted to Ligue 1.

Although the 27-year-old has been in fine goal scoring form for the French side, he is being linked with a move to England in the summer. Monaco have already signed Dimitar Berbatov as a replacement for Falcao, who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and remains a major doubt for the World Cup.

Arsenal and Chelsea are desperate for a striker to bolster their attacking options and both London clubs are interested in Falcao, who had scored 70 goals in 91 appearances for Atletico Madrid prior to his move to France.

According to the Daily Star, former France international David Ginola believes a move to England is very much on the cards for the Colombian. He said, “Everybody wants to come and play in England. When he had the choice and decided to go to Monaco, I was surprised in the first place.”

He added, “I expected him to go to one of the clubs in England but he’s still young and he has plenty of options in his career. His future could lie in Spain, Monaco or England. It’s too early to decide his future now but, why not? Everyone wants to play in England. He could play for anyone.”
