FPL: The Highest Scoring Players In Premier League Fantasy Football Gameweek 3

Nicolas Jackson

The third gameweek of the Premier League has now concluded. How is your Fantasy Football Premier League team looking at this moment?

There were some surprise results this weekend – Arsenal could only muster a draw against Fulham, while Manchester City and Manchester United barely scraped a victory over Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, respectively.

If you had any of the three players on this list in your team, you almost certainly enjoyed a fruitful week – but who are they?

In this list, we’ll be looking at two players from Chelsea, following their dominant 3-0 win over Luton Town – the other individual plays for Aston Villa.

Malo Gusto

Question marks were raised when Chelsea signed Malo Gusto. At first, he seemed to be another of Todd Boehly’s ill-fated ‘wonderkids’ – but so far, he has been able to keep his critics quiet.

When Chelsea took on Luton on Friday evening, he was able to cause the Hatters no end of problems down the right side, using his electric pace and intelligent runs.

Not only did Gusto manage to pick up a clean sheet for the Blues, he also registered two assists – all in all, he accumulated a score of 14 points.

Matty Cash

Next up on the list is Matty Cash, another right-back. Unlike Gusto, Cash did not pick up a clean sheet for Aston Villa at the weekend – but he made up for it in the final third.

Cash managed to fire two quickfire goals past Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, with his two strikes coming 12 minutes apart. It was a great win for the Villans after their shaky start to the season against Newcastle United.

All in all, Cash picked up a total of 17 points at the weekend – only one player managed to beat out this impressive tally.

Raheem Sterling

Friday evening’s game between Chelsea and Luton made for encouraging viewing for Chelsea fans – but nothing was quite as tantalising as the performance of Raheem Sterling.

Last season, Sterling looked to be off the boil – he, along with the rest of the Blues’ team, struggled manfully. However, at the weekend, he looked to be back to his best.

He used his superlative dribbling ability to cut through the Hatters’ defence with regularity – he scored two goals en route to victory, giving him a total of 19 FPL points.
