FOURTH Chelsea Star Linked With Move To Barcelona As Xavi Plots January Revamp

Barcelona are weighing up an offer for Chelsea wingback Marcos Alonso when the January transfer window opens, according to reports in the Catalan media.

New head coach Xavi is keen to reinforce his options out wide and, after bringing Dani Alves back to the club, he is now looking at ways to strengthen the left flank.

Alonso is reportedly a Barca supporter, with his father having played for the La Liga side in the 1980s, and it is believed he would be open to making the switch.

The Catalan club have also been linked with a number of other Chelsea players over the past few days as they seek to reinforce their squad.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech have all been mentioned as potential loan targets but it’s likely that only Ziyech would be available.

Reports in Germany have suggested recently that the Moroccan international is keen on leaving Stamford Bridge in the New Year after struggling to establish himself as a regular starter.
