Former Chelsea fan-favourite Thibaut Courtois has promoted his appearance on the cover Vanity Fair Spain with a post on Instagram – alongside his beautiful fiancee, Israeli model Mishel Gerzig.
The magazine cover, featured in the post, shows Courtois and Gerzig embracing on a luxury couch while looking into the camera’s lens. Courtois is pictured wearing a James Bond-esque suit, while Gerzig is adorned in a fetching mustard-colour dress with a flower motif.
The post’s caption reads: “We are very excited to share with you our new cover for @vanityfair @vanityfairspain. We want to thank all the team for an amazing day together.”
Currently, Courtois’ post has over 320,000 likes on Instagram. Among those who have liked the post include Leandro Trossard, Nathan Ake and former Chelsea Women goalkeeper Carly Telford. It has also been liked by Courtois himself – clearly, the Belgian shot-stopper is not averse to self-promotion.
The former Blues ‘keeper was famously in a relationship with Marta Dominguez before meeting Gerzig, who was the former partner of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne. Courtois and Gerzig have been together since 2021 and became engaged the following year.
Courtois joined Chelsea in 2011 – however, he would not make his first Blues appearance until 2014, due to a series of loan deals at Atletico Madrid. He left Stamford Bridge in 2018 to join Real Madrid, where he has won two La Liga titles and a solitary Champions League trophy.
