Chelsea have been in discussions with the representatives of Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, according to Footmercato reporter Santi Aouna.
The French journalist claims the “first exchanges” have already taken place between the Blues and Kimpembe’s agent to see whether a transfer is possible:
🚨Info : Tuchel 🇩🇪 s’est entretenu avec Kimpembe 🇫🇷 pour lui présenter le projet et le détail de ce qu’il souhaitait mettre en place avec lui.

Aouna also believes that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has spoken to Kimpembe “recently” to explain his project to him. It is thought that the German wants the centre-back to form a formidable partnership with Kalidou Koulibaly and Thiago Silva in a three-man backline.
For his part, Kimpembe would still like to remain at PSG if an agreement over his contract can be reached but, if has to leave the Parc des Princes, a move to England is said to be his preference.
Aouna revealed earlier this month that sporting director Luis Campos is keen to sell Kimpembe for €50m (£42m) and, if he is available, he would be an ideal alternative to Nathan Ake. It has been confirmed today that the Manchester City centre-half’s switch to Stamford Bridge has fallen through after the failure to agree a fee.
