FPL: Ranking The BEST Players In Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 8

Cole Palmer playing for Chelsea.

After another scintillating weekend of Premier League action, let’s take a look at the three highest scoring players in game week eight of FPL.

We witnessed a few shocks this weekend – not only did Liverpool and Newcastle United fail to win, Manchester City also suffered defeat for the second league game in a row.

Teams such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton picked up wins in game week eight – however, you won’t see any of their players in this list.

Instead, we will featuring superstars from Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea – before we begin, can you guess who they are this week?

Micky Van De Ven

What a signing Micky Van De Ven has been for Tottenham. He suffered a shaky start at Spurs, but he has swiftly become one of their leading defenders in the time since.

He was faced with a tough task against Luton Town when Tottenham were reduced to ten men, but he held their defence together admirably.

However, his mammoth points tally of 15 came as a result of him scoring the only goal of the game – as well as keeping a clean sheet.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has been a mainstay of FPL teams ever since he joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 – if you still have faith in the Egyptian, it was duly rewarded on Sunday afternoon.

In a hectic 2-2 draw with Brighton, Salah netted a brace – he took advantage of an errant backpass from Lewis Dunk for the first, finding the back of the net with a penalty for the second.

Like Van De Ven, Salah also picked up a tally of 15 FPL points at the weekend – unlike Van De Ven, however, Salah’s efforts were not enough for him to win the three points.

Raheem Sterling

Topping our list this week is Raheem Sterling, who thoroughly ripped Vincent Kompany’s Burnley asunder on Saturday afternoon – he picked up 16 FPL points along the way.

The game against the Clarets began disastrously for Chelsea, as they went 1-0 in the early stages of the game. Following this, it seemed to light a fire in Sterling’s belly – he was fantastic in the second half.

All in all, the former Manchester City and Liverpool winger picked up a single assist and scored a goal – he also had a hand in every goal that the Blues scored on the day.
