Fans praise Chelsea superstar after Man of the Match performance at Brighton

Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to praise Eden Hazard after his Man of the Match performance yesterday afternoon against Brighton.

The Belgian was the star man as Antonio Conte’s side ran out 4-0 winners over the Seasiders at the Amex Stadium.

Hazard opening the scoring within three minutes, showing some dazzling footwork to finish off Victor Moses’ cut-back on the edge of the six-yard box, and the score was 2-0 only moments later as Willian finished off what was one of the moves of the season so far.

Some intricate inter-play between Willian, Hazard and Michy Batshauyi – including two audacious backheels – saw the ball fall to the former of the trio on the edge of the box, who slammed it home past Matt Ryan with the outside of his foot and into the Brighton net.

The home side troubled, with Pascal Gross hitting the post and Glenn Murray too coming close, however could not prevent themselves conceding further late on.

Hazard added his second of the game on 77 minutes with a fine solo effort and cheeky finish, before Victor Moses scored a well-earned goal – his first Premier League strike in 14 months – to seal the victory.

After the final whistle, Hazard earned further plaudits are he made a brilliant gesture to a young fan who had held a sign up saying “Hazard 10 can I please have your shirt?” by granting him his matchday wish.

The victory saw Conte’s side return to winning ways after four draws on the bounce in all competitions, and the Chelsea fans have thanked Eden Hazard for his role in their much needed win …
