Chelsea are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
The German reporter claims that, while Manchester City are the team who are scouting the 18-year-old the most, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and the Blues are also interested:
TRUE ✅ @ManCity scoute Florian Witz (18) intensely. Also @ChelseaFC @LFC @ManUtd and @Arsenal are interested. But: @FCBayern is leading the race for a Transfer in 2023 @BILD_Sport @ValentinaMaceri pic.twitter.com/kk7pbp2H0j

Wirtz has had a fantastic start to the campaign for Leverkusen, with the teenager having scored five goals and contributed four assists in just six appearances.
Whether it is just a purple patch, we shall have to wait and see. The midfielder only managed eight goals in the whole of last season but he is a player who seems to be developing at a rate of knots.
Considering Chelsea already have Mason Mount and Kai Havertz who can play in the no.10 role, you have to think that the London club’s interest in Wirtz is unlikely to lead to a formal bid, but manager Thomas Tuchel may have a specific position in mind for the German.
