Fabregas Requests Winter Transfer

Fabregas Requests Winter Transfer

If the rumors that he handed in his transfer requests are true, this will be the third time Fabregas leaves a club in unpleasant conditions. Apparently the Spaniard is a lot more difficult to manage than expected. His career up until now has developed patterns that could affect the midfielder’s future. It looks like Mourinho’s departure also played a big role in his rumored decision to leave this January. Even though most say Fabregas was mostly responsible for the fallout between the players and the Portuguese boss, it looks like the two depended on each other to some extent. It`s either that or the fact that Fabregas feels a bit guilty and would like to take the pressure off his shoulders by joining a different team.

Fabregas was dropped from Chelsea’s last game against Manchester United and that seems to have been the final straw. According to Metro he asked his agent to start looking for a new destination. There are few options for Fabregas though if he plans on finding a big team to play for. There is a handful of destinations that would fit his career profile and his expectations – it`s hard to believe he will settle playing for a team like Inter or Dortmund. There’s also the fact that teams like Everton, Liverpool or Tottenham are untouchable – fans will not take kindly to a player who started with Arsenal and then moved to Chelsea. Here is a list of possible destinations:

Serie A – Juventus – Fabregas has a good chance of moving to Italy. Why? Because Juventus is on the same level as Chelsea, Barcelona or Bayern. Also because Pogba is one of Abramovich’s favorite players. With that in mind, Fabregas might be part of a swap that could also include Oscar and some additional fees.

Premier League – Manchester City – The Citizens have never had problems with signing players from rival teams or with rival background. Fabregas could be the next big move for City who are always keen on signing star-quality players despite their character/personality – see how everyone stayed away from Sterling except City.

Liegue 1 – PSG – Paris could be another solution for Fabregas. They have the budget and they are in need of a midfielder like the Spaniard. He would replace Pastore who was never a decisive player for the French side.

Given his form, the fans’ attitude towards him and his attitude, a transfer sounds good for all sides. Hopefully he will help Chelsea bring in an important player to help rebuilding.
