Fabregas In London Bus Row

Cesc Fabregas may well be one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch this season, but the midfielder was involved in an altercation with a bus driver in London which led to a heated exchange of words between the player and the driver, according to the Metro.

The Blues maintained a five point lead at the top of the Barclays Premier League after a scintillating encounter against second placed Manchester City resulted in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. Fabregas has been one of the most influential players in the squad, and his combination with Eden Hazard and Diego Costa has primarily been the reason for Chelsea’s success in front of goal this campaign. Nemanja Matic’s astute defending deep in midfield has meant Fabregas can express himself as a playmaker, with John Obi Mikel being demoted to the bench for most of the important games of the season.

Fabregas began his career at the La Masia youth academy at Barcelona alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, before Arsenal saw potential in the player and managed to sign him. While Messi was reportedly also planned to arrive at Arsenal’s then home of Highbury, that deal broke down, and the Argentine stayed at Barcelona while Fabregas played 212 league games for Arsenal between 2003 and 2011, scoring 35 goals. Barcelona came calling again, and Fabregas played three seasons at the Catalan club, but then looked for a way out and this time he came to Chelsea and what a good decision that has turned out to be.
