Fabregas: I Will Remain A Gunner

Cesc Fabregas has reaffirmed his affection for Arsenal, and has suggested that he will remain a Gunner despite giving his best efforts for Chelsea, after moving from Barcelona to Stamford Bridge over the summer, as the Independent has reported.

Chelsea have started the season on a positive note, and have been performing at the highest level. The Blues currently lead the Barclays Premier League, and deservedly so, with the squad coming together well for Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager did not make any assurances of trophies last season to supporters, but is prepared to offer some hope this time around, and their start this season has not let fans down.

Fabregas was a cult hero for Arsenal, as Arsene Wenger brought the player out of the Barcelona academy during his youth career in 2003. The creative playmaker was not restricted to youth football, as Wenger integrated Fabregas into first team action within a season of his arrival. From thereon, his presence in the Arsenal midfield became more important with every campaign. Ultimately, the midfielder was given the captain’s armband, and Fabregas was key to nearly every move orchestrated by the team. However, due to a lack of silverware, Fabregas looked to leave the club, and in 2011, he got the chance to move to the Camp Nou and join a team that many regarded as the best club side to have ever played.
