Former Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas went through a difficult period during his last year at the Emirates. He was unhappy and wanted to sign with Barcelona. After being given permission to join the Catalans, Fabregas had a lot of difficulties adapting and also impressing the club’s managers so as to offer him a permanent spot in their starting eleven. Not being able to perform on a regular basis led to his departure. It was for the best though considering how happy he now seems with Chelsea. Fabregas is now a main man in Chelsea’s squad and has taken on the challenge of orchestrating the entire team from his favorite midfield position. Mourinho’s trust boosted the Spaniard’s confidence to an all time high which shows on the pitch. He is more accurate and more decisive than ever and he is receiving the appreciation he deserves. In all his recent interviews, the Spaniard emphasized the fact that he feels free and that he is getting better and better with each game. Currently, in 20 appearances made for Chelsea, Fabregas has managed an impressive 13 assists and two goals. With him on the pitch the Blues look really well organized and cause a lot of trouble to any defense. Combined with Costa’s deadly accuracy in front of goal, Fabregas’s passing skills really bring a lot to Chelsea’s game.
