“Everyone Is Watching Him” Coach Reveals Chelsea Are One Of The Teams Pursuing 15 Year Old Turkish Wonderkid

Kayserispor head coach Bulent Uygun has revealed that Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all keeping tabs on attacking midfielder Emre Demir.

The 15-year-old is already starring in the Super Lig club’s first team, having made his senior debut back in January. Speaking about the teenager to Gazetefutbol.de, Uygun claimed Europe’s biggest clubs were already fighting over him:

“Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are watching him. Everyone is watching him. Because they do not act like those responsible in Turkish football and try [to find] players at 14-15 years [of age].”

“Emre has scored 40 goals as a junior international in 40 games and is one of the most promising talents of his age group. So it’s normal for all the clubs in the world to keep an eye on him. We care about his career very much.”

Demir scored his first senior goal against Genclerbirligi in a 2-1 defeat at the start of last month and he made his first start in the 4-1 loss against Besiktas on Monday night.

The youngster is still very inexperienced, with just seven senior games under his belt, and he only received his first call up for Turkey’s Under 17 side back in September.

However, Demir is a prodigious talent, and it would not be a surprise if Chelsea are indeed looking at the midfielder, considering their record of recruiting highly promising young players in the past.
