Everton Seek Lukaku Alternatives

Lukaku smashed 15 league goals for Everton last season on loan from Chelsea and the Toffees are interested in making a permanent deal for the 21-year-old. However, his participation in the World Cup with Belgium means that his future will be decided only after the finals are over.

The Merseyside club have now switched their attention to Torino striker Cerci who bagged an impressive 13 goals in Serie A last season. Arsenal are also interested in his services but the Express is reporting that Everton will be able to land their man ahead of their Premier League rivals.

Everton are ready to offer £10 million to acquire the services of the striker and Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi revealed that he will not stand in the way if his forward wishes to leave.

He said, “We want to keep Alessio because we don’t need to sell at this moment in time. That was also the case for Immobile [who joined Borussia Dortmund], but the will of the player is important.”
