Everton – Chelsea Match Preview And Projected Line-Up

It will be a tough game for Chelsea who are currently 8 points behind Man City who are dominating the League. Unfortunately for the Blues the season started poorly and is apparently caught in a downward spiral from all perspectives. First there was the poor loss against City after which came the massive scandal caused by medical staff. Mourinho criticized his players, demoted Eva Carneiro and to top it all off, missed the chance to sign John Stones or any other relevant defender. Last but not least, it was just announced that Courtois will be going under surgery for knee issues.

Despite all that, Chelsea will still be able to out a top team which hopefully will not have their morale torn down by what happened during the last couple of weeks. They will also have an edge over Everton considering Cleverly, Baines, Hibbert and Pienaar are out with injury. The Toffees have taken 4 points out of their last three games which is one more than Chelsea.

Here is how Chelsea’s lot looks like in terms of line-un, injured players and uncertain selections.

Courtois and Oscar will be out with the Belgian’s return not yet figured out.

Ramires has some knee problems and might not be featured in Saturday’s game.

Projected Line-up: Begovic, Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic, Matic, Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Diego Costa.

Substitutes: Blackman, Beeney, Rahman, Zouma, Aina, Djilobodji, Mikel, Ramires, Loftus-Cheek, Traoré, Falcao, Kenedy, Rémy
