Despite once being the best of friends, Eto’o and Mourinho seem to have hit a rough patch. Their relationship is more strained ever since the Portuguese manager’s remarks regarding Eto’o’s age. According to Metro, the two never reconciled which means there is little to no chance of the striker continuing with the club. The 33 year old whose contract expires in a couple of weeks might get the chance to continue playing at the highest level possible. Tottenham seem interested in snatching the striker who despite being down on pace, managed some great performances this season.

It is a bit strange how Eto’o and Mourinho ended up having such a poor relationship. The Cameroonian was once Mou’s biggest fan especially after sharing some great moments while at Inter. Things have gone so far as to make Eto’o declare he is determined to prove he is capable of dealing with the toughest of competitions. This came as a reaction to transfer rumors which linked the 33 year old to Australian and MLS teams.

Tottenham’s interest for Eto’o is not a sure thing though. The club is going through some rough moments right now. They are missing a manager which means transfers will be delayed at least until they find someone to coach the team. With the Cameroonian international’s contract just about to expire, an offer is apparently in place. That offer might have come from Franco Baldini who is currently in charge of new acquisitions.
