GK – Robert Sanchez – Filip Jorgensen’s performance on Thursday means the Spaniard is under huge pressure to keep his place.
RB – Malo Gusto – with captain Reece James out until the New Year, the Frenchman is set for a long run in the side.
CB – Wesley Fofana – after Maresca was forced to play the 23-year-old out of position against Leicester, he is likely to be switched back to the centre of defence on Sunday.
CB – Levi Colwill – performed well last weekend despite Maresca revealing he had been feeling under the weather in the build-up.
LB – Marc Cucurella – the Spaniard got forward on a regular basis versus Leicester, but he may have to be more focused defensively against Villa who are likely to deploy Leon Bailey down his flank.
