Eden Hazard Predicts How Chelsea Will Fare Against Manchester City

Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is backing his former club to get the three points when Chelsea face Manchester City at the Etihad this weekend.

Frank Lampard’s side head into the game on Saturday one point ahead of the Citizens in the table, and when asked whether the Blues can defeat the reigning Premier League champions, Hazard replied:

“Of course I think so. It’s not going to be easy. It’s hard to play there. Last time we played them we lost 6-0, so bad memories for me and Chelsea. But I think this season they are really good. They are really young, but they are really good, so why not go there and win the game?”

It will be a big test for Lampard and his young Chelsea team, but they may not have a better opportunity to beat City away from home.

Pep Guardiola‘s side lost to Liverpool last time out, and without Aymeric Laporte at the back, their defence is vulnerable. They have already lost to Wolves at home this season and the Blues do have the firepower to cause problems on the counter-attack.

They may be without Christian Pulisic for the game due to a hip injury but they do have a ready-made replacement in Callum Hudson-Odoi to come into the side if the American doesn’t make it.
