Drogba Set For Unexpected Transfer

Drogba Set For Unexpected Transfer

Chelsea have missed Drogba ever since he left back in 2012. Since then they haven’t managed to find a replacement of such efficiency and talent. The Ivorian who spent the biggest part of his career at Stamford Bridge is now close to joining Juventus. Despite being 36, he still seems capable of performing at the highest level possible. According to the Daily Mail, Galatasaray’s player will want to take a last shot at winning the Champions League.

Drogba seems to have found his appetite for trophies since returning to Europe. After leaving Chelsea to join Chinese club Shanghai Shenua, he returned to Europe in order to perform in the best football competition in the world. His Galatasaray performances apparently caught the eye of Italian giants, Juventus who probably want Drogba as a second choice to Tevez or Llorente.

Drogba is currently without a team after ending his 18 month collaboration with the Turkish side. Apparently he will get the chance to play for one more year. It would be a great opportunity for him and also an unexpected opportunity to perform for such a great club. It is still a pity he left Stamford Bridge. He could have still delivered for the club if he had stayed until the end of his career. What is even more disappointing is that he would have probably scored more goals than Torres, Demba Ba and Eto’o put together.
