Drogba Back To Stamford Bridge?

Drogba Back To Stamford Bridge?

According to Metro, Jose Mourinho has welcomed the possibility of bringing Didier Drogba back to Chelsea, in the form of a player/coach or as an ambassador for the club where he gained legendary status.

Drogba returned to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night for Turkish side Galatasaray in the knockout round of the UEFA Champions League. The Ivorian striker’s side ran out losers eventually, putting an end to their Champions League campaign for the year. Mourinho’s first spell at Chelsea was memorable due to the consistency in their campaigns, and the camaraderie in the squad that had the likes of Drogba as a key figure. The 36-year old has not been able to settle down at one club after leaving Chelsea. The last piece of action Drogba had in a Chelsea shirt was the Champions League win in the final against Bayern Munich when he struck the winning penalty.

The former Marseille striker almost singlehandedly lead Chelsea’s scoring exploits in his spell at the club, and Mourinho is confident a personality like Drogba will return to the club in one way or another.
