Chelsea wingback Ben Chilwell put in another excellent performance to help secure the Blues’ passage to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The 26-year-old set up Raheem Sterling for the opener against Borussia Dortmund, while he was also involved in the build-up before Kai Havertz’s penalty. Fans on Twitter have been paying tribute to Chilwell, who has thrived since manager Graham Potter changed formation to a back three:
Chilwell is definitely back to his best while James is still finding his feet… I can't wait to see both of them and Kante.

Chilly b is a fantastic player, James too, our attack has looked the best it’s looked in a while. Havertz being played in the right position, I hope we keep the same line up so we build that chemistry.

It should be pointed out that Chilwell also created Wesley Fofana’s winner against Leeds at the weekend, which means he has been integral to Chelsea’s last two victories.
The defender has had a difficult season due to injury and, while it has taken a while for him to get back up to speed following his return to the starting lineup, he seems to be back at the top of his game. With Reece James also gradually finding his best form on the opposite flank, it bodes well for the future.
