De Bruyne Launches Attack On Mourinho

According to ESPNFC, former Chelsea attacker Kevin de Bruyne has launched an attack on Jose Mourinho, claiming that the Portuguese manager slammed the door to his potential move to Borussia Dortmund, which led to the player joining Wolfsburg eventually.

de Bruyne could not find a way into the starting eleven with the star studded Chelsea squad after signing, so he was sent back to Genk on loan, and returned to still find no place in the squad. As a result, he was sent to Bremen the following season, where he enjoyed a year’s loan. With Mourinho’s arrival in the summer, the manager was always going to sign big name players, leaving no place for de Bruyne. However, the 22-year old was stopped from moving in the summer, and had to settle for a place outside of the first team squad for six months. He then forced a move away from the club in January, and wished to move to Dortmund.

When Mourinho’s condition of a swap deal which saw Robert Lewandowski head to London was declined, he decided to stop the player’s move to Dortmund, leaving de Bruyne with Wolfsburg as the only option.
