David Ornstein Confirms There Are FIVE Teams Pursuing Chelsea Star As Talks Over New Deal Stall

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has five clubs in four different countries interested in signing him on a free transfer next summer, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.

The trusted journalist claims there are two English teams, one Spanish club, one German team and a French side all keen on securing the player’s services.

Kante’s current deal at the Blues expires at the end of the season but, despite being offered an extension, talks have stalled over the length of the contract.

The London club’s new owners are prepared to offer the 31-year-old a two-year deal, with an option for a further year, but the midfielder wants an additional twelve months on top of that.

In terms of the teams potentially interested in Kante, Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked in the past so they are likely to be the two Premier League sides involved. The odds are that Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are the other suitors.
