Courtois Set To Become Chelsea’s No.1

It seems that Belgium manager, Marc Vilmots can confirm the interesting information about Thibaut Courtois’s future. According to Metro, the young goalkeeper who has showcased his skills during his games in Brazil, will indeed become Chelsea’s first pick for the goal-keeping position. Cech who is still too valuable and somewhat young to be kept as a substitute will leave Stamford Bridge sometimes this summer. It is going to be a great move on Mourinho’s behalf who will not only secure the future of the No.1 position for the Blues but will also make some good money on Cech who is one of the best in the world in what he does.

By moving Cech, Chelsea will not only be able to buy a top-end striker but will also be able to look for a decent defender. Courtois who is more than capable of taking the Czech international’s place, gave Mourinho an ultimatum regarding his situation. He was either to move to Madrid for good or return to London as a first choice for the starting line-up.

According to Wilmots, the 22 year old keeper will be confirmed as soon as the World Cup ends. Even though Cech was Chelsea’s captain this season, it is close to impossible to keep both players around. Despite Cech’s experience and decade long Chelsea experience, the Blues are clearly looking to create a team of youngsters to dominate European football in the years to come.
