‘Could Not Be Excluded…’ Report Claims Broja Could Be Used In Swap Deal As Chelsea Push To Sign 130.5M Rated Winger

Chelsea striker Armando Broja is a target for AC Milan and his name may well be mentioned if the Blues press ahead with a move for Rafael Leao, according to TMW.

The Italian website claim that the “inclusion” of the Albanian international in talks about Leao “could not be excluded” but a lot still depends on whether the Portuguese winger signs a new contract.

Chelsea’s interest in Leao has already been confirmed by Milan’s technical director Paolo Maldini but the Serie A champions are still trying to extend the player’s current deal which expires in 2024.

The 23-year-old has a €150m (£130.5m) release clause but he is likely to be available for a lower amount if he doesn’t put pen to paper on a contract extension.

Bringing Broja into the deal would reduce the figure even further still, and TMW claim that Milan have already spoken to the forward’s representatives about a potential transfer. We shall see how this transfer story unfolds.
