Costa Transfer Not Beneficial For All Parties Involved

Chelsea and Diego Costa are receiving a lot of negative energy from Atletico who claim that the Brazilian born Spanish international was rushed into moving to Stamford Bridge. Despite admitting to the fact that the Spanish side lost one of the most efficient and complete strikers in the world without putting up too much of a fight, Atletico’s boss Enrique Cerezo still complained that the deal was not right for his club. According to Metro, Atletico have yet to receive the full amount and are now waiting for almost half of the money made public to the press as a transfer fee.

Chelsea on the other hand could not be happier with their acquisition. Costa has proven to be exactly what the Londoners needed in order to dominate their adversaries. He is the perfect striker for the Blues who had all the necessary skill and tactics but missed an efficient finisher to transform assists into goals. Costa looks like one of the best investments made by Chelsea in the past few years, right up there with Courtois and Hazard.

It is very unlikely that Chelsea will not pay the rest of the money for Costa. He has already become the team’s top scorer and has had a massive impact on the team. After spending almost twice as much on Torres, it would be a pity not to pay their debt to Atletico promptly which could lead to them losing the chance to purchase other players in the future possibly from the Spanish side who they have done plenty of business with in the past.
