Costa Praised By John Terry

Costa Praised By John Terry

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Diego Costa’s physical condition. The Spanish striker has had a tough year, having to handle a difficult hamstring problem which cost him the chance to perform in some very important matches. His problems have not disappeared as Mourinho recently urged his player to skip his national duties in order to recover. Even if Costa is not fully recovered and has played his last matches with the risk of picking up a serious muscle injury, Terry insists that his teammate is a fighter and that he is not slacking off during training sessions. According to the Daily Mail, the former England international pointed out that Costa is an excellent role-model given the fact that he never complained about the pain he is feeling.

Costa admitted that he is in pain during games but also mentioned that his training sessions are not at all difficult. Fabregas also pointed out some positive things about the striker who seems aggressive, sharp and very determined all of the time.

Chelsea managed one of the most effective transfers in the Abramovich era. Costa is the team’s top scorer and leads the way in the Premier League standings. His performances are even more impressive given the fact that he has to deal with his hamstring problem. Hopefully he will recover and improve his stats. The Blues have been missing a striker like him for a long time now. He might just be the missing link to bringing Chelsea the glory they’ve been seeking for a while now.
