Conte pushes Hazard to become world’s best

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has been told he must take full advantage of his talent in order to make it all the way to the top and be put in the same bracket as Messi and Ronaldo.

Manager Antonio Conte made the statement on his forward, who has only just got into the swing of things this season following a frustrating wait with ankle surgery hindering him. Fellow teammate Alvaro Morata donned Hazard as one of the top 3 players in the world earlier in the week – praising the Belgian’s emphatic performance during the Blues’ 2-1 Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

But Conte has challenged his star man to work harder in order to release his full potential in games.

“Eden, in every game, he finds a way to be decisive, to score or to make an assist for a team-mate. I love this,” Conte said.

“If God gives you this talent, you must exploit this talent. My task is sometimes to try to push him to be decisive in every moment, in every game.”

“This season has started for him with a big game against Atletico Madrid and now he has to show this season that he deserves to stay at the top with the best.”

“If he scores one goal, he’s happy and then, if there is another situation, he prefers to make an assist rather than scoring twice,” Conte added.

“If (Ronaldo) scores once he wants two, three, four. It’s the same for Messi.”
